The district has a rich history in Horse Trials, as Eventing was previously known. The first One Day Event was held at Bundella in 1958 and later at Carinya.
Competitors included Brien Cobcroft, Bill Hyem, Neale Lavis and Bridget Macintyre (Bud Hyem).
In later years Ron Easey, (Olympic Showjumper) Bill Levitt (FEI Eventer) and Neville Voight (Jockey) - just to mention a few - represented Quirindi Pony Club in One Day Events.
In 1984 Quirindi Pony Club constructed a cross-country course at the present site.
Thankyou to Colleen Green OAM, Kay Divine and John Easey, along with many other helpers, who worked tirelessly, building and designing a course that Quirindi Pony Club, could be proud of. Colleen Green has maintained and updated the course throughout the years.
In 2006 Quirindi Pony Club, with the help of many locals and Craig Gordon (well known FEI course builder) undertook extensive maintenance and new construction.
In 2007 Quirindi Eventing conducted their first National Competition
Quirindi Eventing now conduct a National and an International Event every year, designed, by International FEI designer Darryl Burgess.
